QI YIHUAN
Biomorphic sculptures and installations exploring posthuman bodies and systems of connection.

About
Bio
Qi Yihuan is an emerging artist working primarily with sculpture and installation. She is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree at the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA), Hong Kong Baptist University.
Her practice explores the body as a fragile yet adaptable system through material contrasts and biomorphic structures. By juxtaposing soft and rigid, organic and industrial materials, she investigates the shifting boundaries between body, environment, and technology.
Artist Statement
Her recent work engages with posthuman and cyborg theories, examining how bodies are continuously reconstructed through networks of connection. Using materials such as silicone, ceramics, and metal, she creates hybrid forms that resemble organs, root systems, or unfamiliar life forms.
These structures suggest bodies that are no longer fixed or isolated but open systems composed of nodes, interfaces, and connections. Through sculptural installations, her work reflects on how the boundaries between human, technology, and environment are becoming increasingly blurred.
