Desire of Touch

This work consists of eight miniature canvases depicting skin textures—scars, bruises, and tooth marks—traces usually associated with violence. However, from the artist's perspective, these marks symbolize a deeply private intimacy. Touching a partner’s scars is not a sensation of pain, but an encounter with their past and the trust formed through vulnerability. Each canvas is coated in a layer of wax, as if sealing this intimacy. The wax surface appears soft yet remains untouchable, keeping desire at the boundary and creating a "forbidden tenderness" that is both protected and concealed. The entire work serves as a "body archive," documenting how emotion and desire settle on the skin to be perceived and preserved between two people.
